SMS Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: July 14, 2026 · Last Updated: July 14, 2026
These terms govern the text messages sent by Sentinel Medical Transport Services LLC ("Sentinel"). By providing your mobile number and giving consent as described below, you agree to these terms.
1. What We Send
Sentinel sends operational messages only. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
To client facility staff:
- Pickup confirmations
- ETA and delay notices
- Delivery confirmations
- Exception and incident notices
To Sentinel personnel:
- Dispatch alerts
- Compliance and deadline reminders
- Operational notifications
2. We Never Send Protected Health Information by Text
This is a hard limit, not a best effort.
Sentinel identifies every specimen and item by container or accession number only, a number the laboratory assigns, and only the laboratory can resolve back to a patient.
No Sentinel text message contains:
- a patient name
- a medical record number or patient ID
- a date of birth
- a diagnosis or ordered test
- any other individually identifiable health information
A Sentinel text says "Accession 4471892 picked up 14:22, ETA 15:05." It does not, and cannot, say who that specimen belongs to.
If you receive a message from Sentinel that appears to contain patient information, it is not from us. Contact us immediately at dispatch@sentinelmedicaltransport.net.
3. Consent
We text only people who have agreed to be texted. Consent is collected in one of two ways:
- Client facilities. An authorized representative signs a Client Service Agreement and completes an onboarding form listing each staff mobile number to be contacted. SMS consent is a separate, unchecked-by-default provision on that form.
- Website visitors. A separate, unchecked-by-default checkbox on our contact form, next to an optional phone-number field.
Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of receiving service from Sentinel. You can be a full client, with full service, and never receive a single text.
We do not buy, rent, or import phone number lists.
4. Opting Out
Reply STOP to any Sentinel message. We will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then we will not text that number again.
You may also opt out by emailing dispatch@sentinelmedicaltransport.net at any time.
Opting out of texts does not affect your service. If you are a client facility, you will continue to receive the same operational communication by phone and email.
5. Help
Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at dispatch@sentinelmedicaltransport.net.
6. Frequency, Rates, and Carriers
- Message frequency varies with your run volume and your facility's activity. A facility with a daily scheduled route receives more messages than one that uses Sentinel occasionally.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard charges are between you and your carrier.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and most US carriers. Delivery is not guaranteed on every carrier or in every location.
7. Your Privacy
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only parties that handle your number are the carriers and messaging providers necessary to deliver the message.
See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes affecting client facilities will be communicated directly.
